Richard “Buck” and Ida Buchanan, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary

    Richard “Buck” and Ida Buchanan, Fredonia, will celebrate their 50th wedding
anniversary with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008 at the
Fredonia Senior Center in Fredonia.
    Mr. Buchanan and the former Ida Marie Conrad were married August 31, 1958, at the Bible Baptist Church parsonage in Fredonia, Ks.  The couple moved to Dodge City, Sept. 1, 1958 and resided there 42 years before retiring back to Fredonia.  Mr. Buchanan retired from KDHE after 42 years but works part time for Parkview Housing.  Mrs. Buchanan continues to care for one daughter of the home.
    Hosts for the event are their children and spouses, Beverly, Fredonia;
Teresa, Wichita; Sandra and Tom Beckwith, Larned; Rick and Cindy, Chanute;
and their three grandchildren and seven half great grandchildren.
    The couple requests no gifts.
