Col. Terry Maple, superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, has assigned Trooper Jeremiah E. Proberts to Ford County. Proberts received the assignment following his recent completion of an extensive 22-week basic law enforcement course at the Patrol's academy in Salina.
Proberts graduated from Kinsley High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Fort Hays State University. Prior to joining the Patrol, Proberts was an assistant manager at the Wal-Mart in Hays.
Proberts has begun his field duties under the supervision of Trooper Stephen Schneider. Upon completion of field training, Proberts will assume patrol duties in Ford County.
