The family and friends of Christopher Glazier are planning a benefit sale and chili feed this weekend.
Glazier was killed instantly on Oct. 1 when he was hit by a pickup truck as he stepped out of his car on a highway shoulder. He was 20 years old.
Glazier had been battling health issues and was unable to work until recently. At the time of his death, he was employed as a clerk at the Ampride store in Tribune and also helped his dad on the family farm.
The benefit sale and chili feed will raise funds to help the family cover funeral expenses and purchase a grave marker.
The sale will be from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the parish hall of St. Cornelius Episcopal Church, 208 Spruce.
Chili, cornbread, tea and coffee will be served beginning at 11 a.m. both days.
