  • UPDATE: Man walks in to Dodge City Schools

  • On Tuesday, Sept. 24 an unknown male individual entered Comanche Middle School through the cafeteria door. According to USD 443 Superintendent Alan Cunningham, the door is normally locked but the individual entered while students were being let out for recess.

  • On Tuesday, Sept. 24 an unknown male individual entered Comanche Middle School through the cafeteria door. According to USD 443 Superintendent Alan Cunningham, the door is normally locked but the individual entered while students were being let out for recess.
    After staff at Comanche school attempted to approach him, he quickly exited the building.
    Upon leaving Comanche premises, the in...dividual walked to the Dodge City Education Center. Following there, the individual walked into Dodge City High School.
    "He was was of no threatening behavior" Cunningham said. "An officer at DCHS spoke with his supervisor and he was instructed to call the Dodge City Police Department."
    Dodge City Police Department Chief Mellecker told the Globe that the individual has been identified as:
    Dodge City resident, Lincoln Torres, 19.
    Torres was taken into custody at 12:32 p.m., Sept. 24. Location of arrest was 2100 W Hwy 50.
    "At the time of his arrest he was cooperative," Mellecker said. "He is currently being held at the Ford County Detention Center- Torres was taken into custody for a probation violation issue and for disorderly conduct."
