The newsroom at the Dodge City Daily Globe was fired up last week.We wanted the 2017 Shrine Bowl in Dodge City. We informed our readers the community was a finalist and we joined a group of people striving to bring the event to our city.When nothing was heard early last week, we wrote an editorial pointing out that the "western" version of this game -- which has been played since 1974 -- had never been out of central Kansas.
