By season four, shows can run into trouble. The characters are familiar and the storylines are established. Raising the stakes to keep viewers interested is tricky. Add too much new material and you risk losing focus on what drew the audience to the show in the first place but keep things too familiar and your viewers might grow bored. Grimm has successfully avoided both pitfalls this season, making it the shows best so far.
