Dodge City police have arrested a second suspect in the recent stabbing of Dodge City resident Ernie Drake.

    Alejandro Galindo, 18, was arrested Wednesday at the police department after he was brought in for questioning in the case, Police Chief John Ball said Thursday. He is currently being held in the Ford County Detention Center on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated burglary.

    Alejandro Galindo, 18, was arrested Wednesday at the police department after he was brought in for questioning in the case, Police Chief John Ball said Thursday. He is currently being held in the Ford County Detention Center on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated burglary.
    Police are continuing their investigation into the attack on Drake, who was stabbed early the morning of Aug. 3 at his apartment, 2908 Doralane Ave. Drake survived the attack and was taken to Western Plains Medical Complex for treatment.
    A 16-year-old boy, whose name has not been released due to his age, was previously arrested in connection with the stabbing. He also faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated burglary.
    Ball declined to comment on the circumstances of the case or a possible motive for the stabbing. He said it was unclear whether the two suspects were acquainted with the victim.
