Fall sports is officially here!

    The Red Demon junior varsity girls' tennis team kicked off the season by winning its home invitational tournament Thursday, with junior Lauren Groth placing first in No. 2 singles competition and the team of sophomore Courtney Daniels and junior Tara Schubert finishing first in No. 1 doubles competition.

    The Red Demon junior varsity girls' tennis team kicked off the season by winning its home invitational tournament Thursday, with junior Lauren Groth placing first in No. 2 singles competition and the team of sophomore Courtney Daniels and junior Tara Schubert finishing first in No. 1 doubles competition.
    The DCHS junior varsity was divided into two teams for the purposes of the tournament, and the Dodge City Red Team finished first in the overall points standings after a full day of tennis. The Dodge City Blue Team finished fifth in the 10-team field.
    Junior Katy Salmans of the Red Team finished fourth in No. 1 singles, while freshman Morgan Schaller, a member of the Blue Team, finished seventh. Blue Team representatives Jasmine Estrada and Ashton Moore, both freshmen, finished fifth in No. 1 doubles competition.
    The duo of sophomore Jessica Hertel and freshman Tylyn Shrader, both of whom were on the Blue Team, finished seventh in No. 2 doubles play.
