The Dodge City High School Red Demon volleyball teams ran through a quadrangular match in Goodland Thursday and won eight of their nine matches. The varsity team went 3-0, the junior varsity went 2-1 and the freshman team swept its matches as well.


 The Dodge City High School Red Demon volleyball teams ran through a quadrangular match in Goodland Thursday and won eight of their nine matches. The varsity team went 3-0, the junior varsity went 2-1 and the freshman team swept its matches as well.
    The Demon varsity squad faced Goodland in its first match 25-23 and 25-15. Dodge City then rolled over Holcomb 25-5 and 25-15.
    Ulysses fell in Dodge's last match 12-25 and 19-25.
    The junior varsity lost its only match against Holcomb, 25-12, 22-25 and 12-15. The Demons rallied followed the loss with two wins, shutting down Goodland 25-17 and 27-25, and Ulysses 25-16 and 25-15.
    The Freshman Demons went undefeated on the day, and opened with a 25-8, 25-11 pasting of Ulysses. The freshman team beat Holcomb 25-9 and 25-13, and Goodland 25-10 and 25-8.
    The junior varsity will be in action again Saturday in Great Bend, and the varsity Demons return home for a quadrangular Tuesday at the DCHS fieldhouse. The home quad is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
