The Kansas Department Transportation is re-opening U.S. Highway 50 from Garden City to Dodge City.

K-156 from Garden City to the west junction of K-23/K-156 and K-23 from that junction north to Dighton. K-25 from Lakin to Ulysses is also open.

The roads remain completely snow packed and icy, so travel can still be hazardous, KDOT said in a press release.

Crews continue working to re-open other highways across southwest Kansas.  Open roads range from partly to completely snow packed.  Drivers should use caution.
