A post-concert rain threatened to put something of a damper of a few Dodge City Days events Sunday evening, but organizers rallied, people adjusted, and the show went on.
And over at Roundup Arena, the show was over but the crew was still striking equipment when the rain hit. Bonita McClure, Dodge City market manager for Q-97 FM and the person in charge of the concert, said the concert was "awesome!" A crowd of about 4,000 turned out to hear Emerson Drive and Joe Nichols.
"I was very pleased with the attendance and I think everyone was impressed with the show," McClure said. "I'd like to thank Dodge City for supporting the concert for 21 years. This was a great one, and we'll be back next year."
