     Dale “Doc” Gene Munson, 62, of Rogers, Arkansas, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Arkansas.
    He was born May 31, 1947, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the son of John and Bessie Munson.
    He owned and operated Munson Chiropractic in Bentonville, Arkansas. 
    He was preceded in death by: his parents.
    Dale is survived by: His wife of 41 years, Vergene (Jeanne) Munson, whom he married October 21, 1967, in Graetinger, Iowa; sons Joseph Munson and Dr. Brandon Munson and his fiancée, Brandi, of Rogers; daughters Kalene Griffith and her husband, John, of Bentonville, and Kristene Munson of Bella Vista, Arkansas; brothers John Munson and his wife, Mary Ann, of Elkton, Minnesota, and Duane Munson of Lincoln, Nebraska; a sister, Marilyn Cavendar and her husband, Warren, of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Bo Weber, Keegan Griffith, Keelah Griffith and Tobin Munson.
    Dale was a 1969 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. He began in private practice September 1969-September 1971 in Ness City, Kansas. He was in private practice September 1971- July 2004 in Dodge City, Kansas. He was in private practice in Bentonville, Arkansas, since 2004. He received certification with International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture in 1991. He received certification with Acupuncture Society of America in 1995. He received certification with Counsel on Extremity Adjusting 1998.
    He was a member of the Bentonville BNI Chapter, Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce, Rogers/Lowell Chamber of Commerce. A Volunteer with Bentonville Nazarene Church Upward Basketball, Circle of Life Hospice and Cancer Road Challenge.
    Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rogers First Church of the Nazarene, located in Rogers, Arkansas. 
    Pallbearers will be Jim Abel, Bill Giers, Justin Mills, Jeremy Tasset, Chris Taylor, Brennan Uehling. Honorary Pallbearers: “The Dodge City Guys.”
    Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, located in Rogers, Arkansas, with Pastor Alan Johnson and Pastor Mark Lindstrom officiating. Interment will follow at Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville, Arkansas.
