After putting up 12.3 points per game at Dodge City Community College, Marcella Sedoc will continue to play basketball at Lincoln University of Missouri.
Lincoln head coach Katie Vaughn said she hopes Sedoc can help rebuild a program that went 12-15 overall last season.
“We have two players back from this year’s team,” Hughes said. “We are looking for experience to be able to play right off the bat. She is a little older and she brings experience and maturity.”
Sedoc grew up in Paramaribo, Suriname, a town located on the northern coast of South America, before coming to play basketball in Dodge City.
“Marcella really improved a lot from the time she came here, to when she finished her career,” Dodge City head coach Steve High said. “She guards the live ball real well and she became real (good) at driving to basket.”
Vaughn said she hopes she can use Marcella’s experience on the court to become a leader on the team.
