A new art gallery is set to open in town with an exhibit that promises to be fascinating and a chance to meet the artist.
The Art Lab, located at 2011 W. Wyatt Earp Blvd., will specialize in a mix of modern and progressive art. The first gallery show opens June 18.
The show, "Read All Over," will feature art by local and regional artists interpreting various print media including comic books, pulp novels and graphic novels.
As part of the opening celebration, The Art Lab will host graphic novelist Ande Parks to talk about his novel "Capote in Kansas." Parks' presentation will include a slide show explaining the creative process involved in making a graphic novel, from script to artwork to finished product.
