    Frances Cecil Byram, 85, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Protection Valley Manor in Protection.
    She was born Nov. 19, 1924, to Theodore Clarence and Ellen (Nielsen) Gillet north of Protection. She married James Walter Byram on Jan. 23, 1944, in Coldwater. He preceded her in death July 12, 1988.
    A lifetime resident of Coldwater, she was the co-owner of Byram Manufacturing.
    Survivors include a son, Dennis Byram and wife, Carole, Coldwater; one daughter, Bonnie McLean and husband, Barry, Pocola, Okla.; one brother, Clarence Gillet and wife, Gayle, Coldwater; one sister, Irene Kennedy and husband, Harold, Mulvane; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Ray Byram.
    The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Coldwater, with the Rev. Sue Talbot presiding. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.
    Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. today at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater.
