Fort Dodge will host its eighth annual Memorial Day service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 11560 U.S. Highway 400.


   Fort Dodge will host its eighth annual Memorial Day service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 11560 U.S. Highway 400.
    Retired Col. Norman Forbes of the U.S. Air Force will be the guest speaker for the event.
    The service will include a flyover by a KC-135 refueling tanker and appearances by the Dodge City 161st Field Artillery National Guard Color Guard and Howard Gotschall VFW Post 1714. Also  on hand will be the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 107, vocalist Christina Haselhorst, bagpiper Jack Nicholson, bugler Charles Buechman and the chaplain, the Rev. Vernon Bogart. Retired Lt. Col. Anthony Lyons will serve as master of ceremonies.
    All are invited, but seating is limited. Lawn chairs are welcome.
    Handicapped parking is available near the shelter area.
