    The USD 443 Board of Education will need to amend the budget for the current fiscal year before the district can access the money. But first, the district must host a public hearing on the issue.
    "By amending the budget, at no point are we going to raise local taxes," William Hammond, executive director of business and operations, told the school board on Monday.
    The hearing is set for 7 p.m. June 14.
