After working for 36 years as a family/community specialist for Bright Beginnings, Kathy Redman has decided it's time to retire.


  After working for 36 years as a family/community specialist for Bright Beginnings, Kathy Redman has decided it's time to retire.
    However, she wasn't always on top. Just like everyone else, she began working at the bottom.
    Originally from Colorado, Redman found herself in Dodge City because of her husband's job.
    “My husband was a cattle buyer. We had a choice to go to Nevada or Dodge City, and we chose Dodge City," she said. “When we moved here, everyone was friendly and the schools were good for my kids, who were 4 and 5 at the time, because they were able to make friends."
