Dodge City Community College trustees selected a presidential search committee Tuesday and moved one step closer to choosing a new interim president.
The committee on finding an interim president enlisted the Association of Community College Trustees to aid in the search.
Committee chairman Morris Reeves said the ACCT identified five candidates for the position, and he was impressed with all five. Then Reeves and another committee member, Shane Bangerter, narrowed the list to four candidates.
The committee's next action will be to set up telephone interviews with the candidates to cut the list down to two people. Once the committee does this, the candidates will be invited to a special session so the board can interview them.
