  • Oktoberfest scheduled for this weekend

  •     Dodge City Knights of Columbus, Council #2955, will host their third annual Oktoberfest celebration for the Dodge City community from 11 a.m. to midnight Sept. 25 at the Knights of Columbus hall, 800 W. Frontview.

  •     Dodge City Knights of Columbus, Council #2955, will host their third annual Oktoberfest celebration for the Dodge City community from 11 a.m. to midnight Sept. 25 at the Knights of Columbus hall, 800 W. Frontview.
        Two polka bands, The Blue Notes and The Country Dutchman, will provide polka music until 8 p.m., followed by the Greensburg-based band Retro Active.
        Admission is $5 per person, with food and beverage separate.
        There will be brats, bierocks, cabbage rolls and turkey legs. A beer garden with TVs provided by Aaron's of Dodge City will show college football all day.
        There will be a play area for the kids and horseshoe pits.
