    Mauro Devora, 62, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Bob Wilson Memorial Grant County Hospital, Ulysses.
    He was born Jan. 24, 1949, to Ruperto and Antonia (Tamayo) Devora at Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico. He married Margaret Romero on Dec. 23, 1972, at Liberal. She survives.
    He worked as a farm hand for Don Williams.
    Other survivors include a son, George Devora and wife, Maria, Ulysses; a daughter, Michelle Lauck and husband, Wayne, Holcomb; his father, Sombrerete, Mexico; 10 brothers, Sebastian and Manuel Devora, both of Ulysses, Thomas Devora, Beaverton, Ore., Juan Devora, North Carolina, Ruperto Devora Jr., Beaverton, Martin and Idelfonso Devora, both of Ulysses, Leobardo Devora, Liberal, and Lazaro and Alonso Devora, both of Fort Worth, Texas; five sisters, Beatriz Devora, Ulysses, Alberta Barrios and Maria Balleza, both of Fort Worth, Gregoria Ramos, Liberal, and Santa Moreno, Fort Worth; and eight grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Sebastian Devora; and a sister, Maria Devora.
    The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Primera Iglesia Bautista, Ulysses, with Pastor Manuel P. Perez presiding. Burial will be in the Ulysses Cemetery.
    Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time today at Primera Iglesia Bautista, 442 W. Nebraska Ave., Ulysses.
