BHC Lodging Inc. and Vista Host Inc. are pleased to announce the May construction start of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Dodge City.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held onsite at 10 a.m. May 11. The hotel will be located adjacent to the Boot Hill Casino & Resort, the United Wireless Arena and the Magouirk Conference Center. The hotel will consist of 108 rooms, including over 50 studios and two-room suites, a fitness area and a swimming pool.
Casino spokeswoman Jessica McNiece said Sunday plans call for the hotel to open by the first quarter of 2012.
Schwerdt Design Group of Topeka is the architect of record for the project, and the construction manager is McPherson Development Co. Inc. of Topeka. Construction and permanent financing will be provided by Kansas State Bank of Manhattan.
