On behalf of the senior community in Dodge City and Ford County, I want to thank all the people who helped to make the auction at the Dodge City Senior Center a success.

On behalf of the senior community in Dodge City and Ford County, I want to thank all the people who helped to make the auction at the Dodge City Senior Center a success.
All the members of our community who donated items;  The Mattress Hub — who donated a new queen size bed;  KGNO — who donated 2 tickets to the Michael Martin Murphy concert; and of course all the people who came and bought items; WE THANK YOU!
Everett Schnitzler organized the auction and he and his team: Kenny McCabe, Janis McCabe, Jim Karns, Susie Davis and Linda Wright, all donated their services. Four missionaries from the Church of the Latter Day Saints did the heavy lifting and assisted us in many other ways. We were able to sell barbeque beef sandwiches and homemade pies because of the generosity of our community.
In our effort to raise money for a new heating and air-conditioning system, there is another group that also needs to be recognized for their contribution. The Ford County Band 5 Minus 1 has been playing for dances at the Senior Center 2 Fridays a month. Members of the band are Larry Durr, Don Pray, Chuck Riley and John Westmacott. The 4th Friday, they have donated all their take to the Center for our fund. Words cannot express how much we appreciate this.
As we are trying to raise money, it is very rewarding to see that Dodge City and Ford County are supporting us in our efforts.
"Keep tuned" to find out about other opportunities to help us out.
