Local real estate agent, Peg Vogel had a surprising phone call this week.
A reporter from New York who writes for CNN Money contacted her to see if they could use one of her listings in a feature they were doing on "Affordable Mansions."
The house they were interested in is a home in Ashland, Kansas that was once owned by the Wallingford family.
Vogel said she thought there have only been two owners since the last member of the family was there.
The house, which is on 519 Maple, sits on an half a city block.
Vogel said she told the reporter that the third floor of the house had once been a ball room but had been converted to a master suite.
When she told him it was more than 1,300 square feet, he said that was bigger than his entire apartment.
The house and the other “affordable mansions” can be viewed on CNN Money’s website at http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2011/real_estate/1109/gallery.mansions_sale
