     Floyd Clarence Sanko, 80, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at his home in Great Bend.
     He was born Aug. 3, 1931, at Hodgeman County to Edward and Mary (Schinstock) Sanko. He married Rosemary Burke on Nov. 24, 1952, at Dodge City. She survives.
     He ended his career with Sanko Motors of Spearville in 1956 and moved to Great Bend to establish Sanko's Service Inc. He was also a former owner of Reed Testing Inc.
     Other survivors include three sons, Kenton D. Sanko and wife, Anita, of Great Bend, Gerald E. Sanko and wife, Michele, of Rogers, Ark., and Stanley W. Sanko of Dodge City; one daughter, Cynthia M. Sanko of Los Angeles; one brother, Wilbert Sanko and wife, Imogene, of Ellinwood; and seven grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
     A vigil service with a Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Reginald A. Urban presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery.
     Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home.
