The Lady Wildcat Volleyball Team finished up their season last Saturday at

Deerfield in the sub-state playoffs. Minneola beat South Gray 25-21 and 25-13, then lost to the eventual sub-state champion Spearville 25-16, 25-17. The Lady Wildcats finished with a 16-18 record.

Deerfield in the sub-state playoffs. Minneola beat South Gray 25-21 and 25-13, then lost to the eventual sub-state champion Spearville 25-16, 25-17. The Lady Wildcats finished with a 16-18 record.
     The Wildcat football team beat Spearville 40-20 on Senior Night last Friday.
Spearville had scored the first 14 points to lead 14-0. The Wildcats then scored the next 30 points to lead 30-14 by halftime. The win evened their record at 4-4 and their last game will be this Thursday as they travel to Montezuma.
     The cross county squad finished the regular season at Kinsley where they dominated the league. The following girls placed individually — Jayda Minor 1st, Sam Harrington 2nd, Elizabeth Wilczek 3rd, Iya Ruiz 5th and Sarah Wilczek 7th. The Lady Wildcats placed 1st overall as a team with this dominant performance.
     The regional meet was held last Saturday at Meade. The girls team put forth
a strong performance capturing a runner-up finish and qualifying for the state meet at Wamego. Individuals placing were Jayda Minor 4th, Sam Harrington 8th, Sarah Wilczek 10th and Elizabeth Wilczek 11th. The boys team also ran well with James Eaton placing 20th and Aaron Pinkerton finishing 24th. The state meet will take place at Wamego this coming Saturday with the start time for 1A girls at 11:00 a.m.
