  • KANSAS CITY, MO. — Jack L. Maskus, 86, passed away June 18, 2012. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, June 21 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd. Services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 22 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 75th & Oak. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.
    Maskus was born November 26, 1925 in Hodgeman County, Kansas to George and Alta (Morris) Maskus. He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1943 and attended Kansas State. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps serving in WWII. He was a life-long St. Louis Cardinal's fan. He coached little league baseball in Webster Groves for many years. He retired from AIL a division of MacDermid. He was married to Dorothy (Leighty) Maskus for 65 years and she preceded him in death.
    He leaves behind two sisters and four brothers; children, Jacqueline Loontjer of K.C., MO, Stephen Maskus (Alisa) of Republic, MO, Gail Webert (Mike) of Cabot, AR, Ken Maskus (Vicki) of Cedar Hill, MO, Keith Maskus (Sue) of Boulder, CO and Mike Maskus (Cathy) of St. Louis, MO; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Arrangements by Park Lawn Funeral Home.
