Andrea Foley is the new Clinical Director and acting Superintendent at the Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge. She started her new position a month ago.
Foley has spent most of her working career with elderly populations. Previous to her arrival at Fort Dodge, Foley served as the assistant administrator at Golden Age Home in Cheney. She also served as the Director of Patient Services for Hospice Care of Kansas.
"I realized early in my career path that I really enjoy working with the elderly," Foley said.
Foley's background includes her clinical work as a LPN. She earned her undergraduate degree in social work from Bethel College and has a Master's Degree in health care administration from Friends University.
She has three children, two of them grown. Her youngest daughter still lives at home. Foley says she looks forward to learning more about the area's western history and is excited to be a part of the unique Fort Dodge campus. She hopes to get more people engaged with all that Fort Dodge has to offer.
"I think we have an impressive facility here," Foley said. "But we also want to spread the word about our community."
