    7 a.m. Dodge City Days 5K and 1 Mile Shoot Out
    2nd and Gunsmoke
    Come get some exercise before a busy week of events! Registration for both races begins at 7. The 5K race will start at 8 and the mile at 9:30. Run either or both or just come out to support the runners! There will be a $25 entry fee to run either race.
    7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lewis Automotive Two Man MGA Golf Tournament
    Mariah Hills Golf Course
    This tournament sponsored by Lewis Automotive and the Men's Golf Association begins today! For information contact (620) 225-8182.
    10 a.m. Dodge City Days Western Parade
    Civic Center to Dodge City Roundup Arena
    See the 52nd annual Dodge City Days Western Parade! The theme this year is "still taming the west" and the parade marshal is Gus Crump. There will be over 100 entries competing for cash and prizes.Please note the the route has changed slightly, and will now go from Comanche to 1st then to Mulberry and over to 2nd. After that the normal route resumes.
    11 a.m. 22nd Annual Barbecue/ Backyard Barbecue Contest
    Wright Park
    The backyard barbecue, sponsored by the High Plains Journal, is a chance for the backyard chef to show off their culinary skills. Participants will prepare for judges only, with Cargill and National Beef providing barbecue for the public. Cost is $3 with a lapel pin.
    7- 10 p.m. Carnival in the Park
    Wright Park
    Family entertainment with carnival rides and games for all ages. A discount is given for wearing your lapel pin when purchasing ride tickets.
    8 p.m. Q97 Country Concert
    Dodge City Roundup Arena
    Q97 is proud to present country superstar Jerrod Niemann with special guest Gwen Sebastian. Niemann grew up in Liberal and is all too familiar with the lifestyle and culture of our town. Tickets are available today for $30, $35 and $40. Call (620) 225-0240 for more information.

    Central Station
    Central station keeps the night rocking with Jared Daniels Band outside and DJ Vic  spinning the hits all night long. Wear your lapel pin for a discount on admissions.

    Monday July 30
    9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Western Art Show
    Landmark National Bank
    Landmark National Bank invites you to attend their 19th annual Western Art Show.  This year's artist is Larry Case whose pencil drawings and oil paintings depict modern day ranch scenes. Stop by to view the works of art, meet the artist and possibly take some art home with you. Admission is free.
    6:30 p.m. Southern Gospel Christian Concert
    Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe
    Daybreak Quartet is returning for their 15th year. They will perform some of their biggest hits off their albums, as well as some of the most popular southern gospel songs. Before the concert there will be a taco and tostada meal for $6 a person. Admission to the concert is free, but free will donations will be accepted.

    8:30- 11:30 p.m. Teen Dance
    Dodge City Community College
    Mad Dj Soundmix, Monica & Opie Astorga will be providing all the top hits of the summer for the Dodge City Days Teen Dance. Kids aged 12-18 may attend for $2 and a lapel pin. In case of rain the dance will be moved to the Hoover Pavilion in Wright Park.
