The A’s faced conference competitor, the Liberal Bee Jays, eight times in regular season play, with an even record of 4-4.  Heading into Monday’s game, both teams had a single loss in NBC Tournament play.
After two scoreless innings the Bee Jays were the first team to get on the board in the 3rd inning with a solo home run by Johnathan Sigado.  The A’s got on the score board two innings later with a single by Taylor Drake and Cole Davis and a double by Ivan Sigala.  The A’s kep the momentum going in the seventh inning with three additional runs.  Hits by Taylor Drake, Cole Davis and Bryant Burleson along with a walk and an error brought the A’s the victory, in spite of the Blue Jays scoring a final run in the last half of the seventh, bringing the final score to 5-2.
