Robert Leo (Bob) Wildrix, 77, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 in Sedgwick, Kan. He was born July 14, 1939 in Stockton, Kan. to Lee Widrix and Clara L. (Fetterolf) Wildrix- Sumpter.
He grew up in Stockton; attended school there and was in the Army. He was a jockey in Nebraska and the eastern part of the United States for several years. Wildrix then went to training horses.
In the early 1970’s he and his family moved back to Kansas where he worked as a farm hand and later was a over the road truck driver.
Wildrix married Ruth Lorene Rychman Sept. 3, 1966 in Houghton Lake, Mich. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Tracy and wife, of Salisbury, Md.; two sisters, Leah Wildrix; Alice Lancaster, of Kinsley; three brothers, Larry, of Humble, Texas.; Cleo, of Ellinwood, Kan. and Steve Sumpter, of Ashville, N.C.
