  • Hearing dates set for murder suspects

  • A preliminary hearing  for 21-year-old Lisa Worthey of Dodge City has been set for Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.
    Worthey is facing charges of first degree murder and interfering with a law enforcement officer stemming from the Aug. 5 murder of Miguel Tol-Juarez. Her bond is set at $100,000, a reduction from the initial amount of $500,000.
    Another alleged party in the murder, 18-year-old Jesus Jose Rivas will appear in court for a preliminary hearing Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.. His bond is set at $500,000. Rivas was arrested on charges of murder in the first degree in the commission of a felony, two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of attempted aggravated robbery.
    A third suspect in Tol-Juarez's death will appear Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. 20-year-old William Henry Edwards is in custody for charges of murder in the first degree, aggravated battery and attempted aggravated robbery
    Police are still looking for a fourth suspect, 16-year-old Miguel Antonio Solis. Solis is wanted for murder in the first degree, aggravated battery, attempted aggravated robbery and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
    The victim, 24-year-old Miguel Tol-Juarez died Aug. 5 from a gunshot wound that was originally thought to be an injury resulting from blunt force trauma. The incident took place at the 800 block of Ave. F where witnesses told officers three suspects confronted Tol-Juarez and others demanding money. Law enforcement said the murder was likely gang-related.
