A contested preliminary hearing Wednesday resulted in charges of aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery and attempted robbery for 24-year-old Johnathan Villa-Ramirez.
The crimes allegedly occurred March 2, 2011 in Ford County.
Villa-Ramirez's bond was raised from $75,000 to $100,000, according to Assistant Ford County Attorney David Belling.
An arraignment will be scheduled at a later date, Belling said.
Villa-Ramirez will appear in court next week for a separate case in which he is charged with child abuse and homicide. He was arrested July 25 of this year in Texas County, Okla. by the Texas County Sheriff's Department on a warrant for child abuse issued by the Dodge City Police Department (DCPD).
His 9-month-old son Brandon was taken to Western Plains Medical Complex July 22 with critical injuries and later airlifted to Wesley Hospital in Wichita. The charges against Villa-Ramirez escalated to homicide July 26 when the DCPD was notified of Brandon's death which allegedly resulted from his injuries.
