Brandon Lee Cox, 40, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012.
He was born May 6, 1972 at Dodge City, the son of John C. and Sandy Smith Cox. He was a lifetime Dodge City resident and a 1991 graduate of Dodge City High School. He was a Compliance Technician for Koch Industries and had worked for Ford County Fire and EMS for more than 20 years. He had also worked at National Beef for 9 years andfarmed for several area farmers. He was the head of the Safety Crew at the Dodge City Raceway Park.
On September 13, 2010 he married Cathy Flowers at Dodge City. She survives.
Other survivors include: his twin daughters, Elizabeth and Josephina Cox, of the home; his mother, Sandy Cox, Wichita; his father, John Cox and wife, Nancy, Columbus, Nebraska; a brother, Brian Cox, Austin, Texas; and grandparents, J.T. and Joan Cox, Dodge City.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond and Emma Smith and Wanda Cox.
Memorial service will be 11:00 am Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Dodge City, with Jeff Hiers and Rev. Ryan Ausmus officiating. The family requests casual dress. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
