Mary Jo (Loucks) Parker went to be with her beloved husband Elmer Dierking on October 22, 2012 at the age of 96, after a courageous battle with old age. Mary Jo was born November 24, 1916 in Gray County, and was raised just outside of Copeland.
Mary Jo was married March 19, 1944 to Elmer J. Dierking. He died February 4, 1967. Mary Jo remarried November 1968 to Ernest Parker of Coldwater. He died August 22, 1996. Mary Jo worked as a school lunch supervisor in the Fowler Public School. She later moved to Coldwater, where she met Ernest at Pioneer Lodge, where he was the Administrator. She soon retired and was a stay at home mom and loving wife. Mary Jo enjoyed her life and family to the fullest. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her only son: Karl John Dierking and wife Linda of Brentwood, TN; two grandchildren: Amanda Easton and husband Greg of Columbia, TN and Andrea Rowley and husband Matt of Murfreesboro, TN; two great-grandchildren: Hunter Rowley and Parker Easton; and siblings: Martha Garetson of Montezuma, David Loucks of Satanta, Effie Koehn of Montezuma, and Walt Loucks of Mesa, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesse and Carrie Loucks; and siblings: Myrtle Dunham, Frances Peterson, Samantha Loucks, John Loucks, Alva Loucks, Charlotte Sawyer, Leon Loucks, Ora Loucks, Mildred Loucks, and Harvey Loucks.
Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Funeral service is at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater. Graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m., at Fowler Cemetery in Fowler.
