Bertha June Boman, 64, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at her home in Dodge City.
She was born Sept. 12, 1948 at Dodge City, the daughter of Alfred and June Conway Setzkorn. Boman attended Ochs and Setzkorn Country Schools and was a graduate of Jetmore High School.
Boman was baptized and confirmed with the St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Hodgeman County, and on May 13, 2012 she was baptized into the Church of Latter Day Saints, Dodge City. She enjoyed being a caregiver and also working as a Sales Clerk.
She Married Verdon Jordan who preceded her in death. She later married Charles Boman on April 25, 1980 in Kinsley. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons; Mike Jordan and wife Angela, Hayward, Okla. and Aaron Jordan, Hayward, Okla.; daughter, Faye Jordan, Hayward Okla.; her mother June Setzkorn, Hodgeman County; two brothers Mike Setzkorn and wife Debbie, Dodge City, and Carl Setzkorn, Jetmore; sister, Sue Oldham and husband Tony, Dodge City; seven grandchildren, Mason, Austin, Jeff, Marissa, and Baylee, Dalton and Jeff.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the Church of Latter Day Saints, Dodge City, with Brother Eric Harman presiding. There will be a prayer that will start at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hodgeman County.
The family suggests memorials to the Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association all in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
