  • Elva Luz Garcia-Gomez, a Dodge City mother accused of aiding and abetting felony murder, was arrested Wednesday for failing to comply with her court ordered bond conditions.
Garcia-Gomez, 43, was released from custody Oct. 26, five days after her initial arrest, on $50,000 bond.  She had previously been held on a $150,000 cash surety bond but the amount was modified in court.
Garcia-Gomez is the mother of 16-year-old Miguel Solis who is wanted for murder in the first degree, aggravated battery, attempted aggravated robbery and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Solis has eluded law enforcement since Aug. 5 when he was allegedly involved in the murder of 24-year-old Miguel Tol-Juarez. The incident took place at the 800 block of Ave. F where witnesses told officers three suspects confronted Tol-Juarez and others demanding money. Law enforcement said the murder was likely gang-related.
A preliminary hearing for Garcia-Gomez's charges was scheduled
for Nov. 11 but was continued. Court records show the state and Garcia's Gomez's lawyer were working on a possible plea agreement. The hearing was set for Nov. 29 but was continued again and will be set at a later date with court calendars.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Solis is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at (620) 227-STOP or toll free at (877) 424-4414. Calls can also be made to the DCPD at (620) 225-8128. To text a confidential tip to the DCPD, text DCPD and your tip to 847411 (TIP411).
