The Dodge City High School wrestling squad had three members place Saturday in the Bishop Carroll Invitational meet, with two of them winning their weight divisions.
Dane Edwards went 3-0 to win the 138-pound class. Edwards is still unbeaten on the season after pinning Forlando Parker of Wichita Heights at 2:24 in the final match.
Clay Weil went 4-0 on the day to claim the 126-pound division. Weil beat Dylan Eck of Andale by a 3-0 decision in the championship match.
Jaden McRoberts was third in the 113-pound division, winning three of his four matches on the day.
"We only had about half the team travel because of family or other reasons," said Dodge City wrestling head coach Lars Luedders. "We didn't take a whole team and were open in some spots. The kids that we took battled hard and performed at a high level and it's the best that we have wrestled so far this season for those who went."
The Red Demons finished seventh in the final team standings with 92.5 points. Newton won the event's team title for the second straight year with 165.5 points, followed by Wichita Northwest (124) and Andale (122.5).
The next action will be a dual match on Jan. 3 at Pratt. The event is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
