  • Adam Nipper, a 22-year-old man from Dodge City, plead no contest to an amended charge of simple robbery for his role in the Aug. 9 burglary of a Pizza Hut.
His initial charges were aggravated robbery and kidnapping. The kidnapping charge was dropped during arraignment.
Court records show, Nipper and 36-year-old Steven Somerville confronted employees at the Pizza Hut located at 1513 W. Wyatt Earp with a weapon and demanded cash.
The pair made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and left the area on foot.
Somerville has been sentenced to 34 months on a burglary charge related to the incident and five months each for an obstruction charge and a theft charge.
Nipper was released from custody earlier this month on his own recognizance on a $10,000 bond out of district court.
He is scheduled to be sentenced for his crime Feb. 8.
