Robert O. Culver, 81, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at Hill Top House, Bucklin.
He was born December 31, 1931 at Gray County, Kan., the son of Albert and Grace McDaniel Culver. Bob entered the Navy January 1, 1951 and served his country until he was discharged on October 13, 1954. A life long resident of Cimarron, Bob was an insurance and real estate agent until he retired.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Cimarron.
On May 12, 1954, he married Patricia A. Thomas in the First Christian Church, Cimarron. She survives.
Bob and Pat had two children, Sandra and husband Gary Schadegg, Cimarron and Robert and Lori Culver, Smithfield, Utah. Bob had eight grandchildren who he loved with all his heart: Mathew and wife Stacy, Michael and wife Melissia, Maxwell and wife Christiana, Trenton and wife Brandy, Jessica and husband Jason, Kirk, Jacy and husband Saul and Jardy. Bob had 14 great-grandchildren: Gracie, Madilyn, Chandler, Madisyn, Jaxon, Hazel, Cooper, Haiven, Olivia, Kyla, Emily, Thomas, Jentry and Bronx.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Grace Culver; a sister, Edith Marrow; and two brothers, Everett and Kenneth Culver.
Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at the First Christian Church, Cimarron, with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron. Burial will be in the Cimarron Cemetery with military honors by Howard Gotschall VFW Post 1714.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church or the Hill Top House in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 446, Cimarron, Kansas 67835.
