  • SUBLETTE — The visiting Meade Buffaloes outscored the Larks by 15 in the opening quarter on the way to a 71-53 victory in Hi-Plains League action.
    Meade outscored the Larks 22-7 in the opening quarter and extended the lead to 20 by half-time on the way in a rematch of last week's league tournament championship.
    Jett Little scored 12 of his 18 points in the first half, while Randy Friesen added 10 of his 18 before intermission to lead the Buffaloes (12-0). Also scoring in double figures for Meade were Morgan Davis with 13 and Chris Hardaway with 10.
    Johny Martens led Sublette (8-5) with 11 points.

    CIMARRON — The Bluejays outscored Elkhart 23-8 in the second quarter to take over the Hi-Plains League contest. Cimarron extended the lead to 20 points by the end of the third quarter.
    Christian Fischer scored 17 points to lead the Bluejays (8-5) while Stuart Fairbank aded 11 in the victory. Braden Harbour scored 15 points to lead Elkhart (6-7) and Izzy Barco scored 13 for the Wildcats.

    CIMARRON — The Cimarron Lady Bluejays remained unbeaten after recording a 74-40 victory over the Elkhart Lady Wildcats during Hi-Plains League action.
    Cimarron (13-0) outscored Elkhart 36-17 in the first half on the way to earning a rout over its competition. Ashtynn Burns and Morgan Ediger scored 20 points apiece and Eva Koopman added 14 in the victory.
    Kali Hoskinson led Elkhart (8-5) with 12 points.

    SUBLETTE — The Lady Larks allowed only one Meade field goal in the second quarter and led by 12 going into the final stanza to record the upset victory in Hi-Plains League action.
    Page 2 of 2 - Brooke Briggs scored eight of her game-high 15 points in the third quarter, while Alexis Ornelas added 12 and Riley Matteson scored eight of her 11 points in the first half.
    Tarah Wiens and Bailey Olvera scored 11 points apiece to lead Meade (7-5) in scoring.
