Sharon Elaine Cameron, 67, a resident of 537 Pirate Cove Road, Washington died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Washington officiated by The Reverend Danny G. Allen and The Reverend Chris Leak. Interment will follow in the First United Methodist Church Prayer Garden. Mrs. Cameron was born in Hodgeman County, Kansas on Sept. 16, 1945 to the late William Dixon and Dorothy A. Dixon (Knoefler) of Jetmore, who survives. On December 22, 1967, she married Robbie W. Cameron, who survives. Mrs. Cameron had worked as a Medical Technologist and as a Registered Seed Analyst. She loved gardening, playing golf and being outdoors. In addition to her mother of Jetmore, and her husband, of the home, Mrs. Cameron is survived by a daughter; Leslie Welner and husband Brooks of Olathe; and a grandson Sawyer Welner of Olathe. In addition to her father, Mrs. Cameron is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby W. Dixon. The family will receive friends following the interment in the First United Methodist Church Prayer Garden.
