United Methodist Mexican American Ministries (UMMAM) has hired David Andersen, DDS, to staff their Dodge City Dental Clinic, located at 2011 Central Avenue.
Dr. Andersen is a 2001 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and he graduated from the University Of Colorado School Of Dentistry in 2005. He began his dental career in Greeley, Colorado.
Dr. Andersen is married and has three children. As a family, they enjoy camping, being outside, arts and crafts and church activities.
“My favorite part of dentistry is helping people get rid of pain and discomfort.” Dr. Andersen says, “We are looking forward to being a part of the community and I’m really looking forward to meeting my new patients!”
With the addition of Dr. Andersen to the UMMAM team, new hours for the Dodge City Dental Clinic will begin Feb. 19. The dental clinic will be open from 7 a. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
UMMAM’s Dodge City Dental Clinic will offer typical dental services such as cleanings, extractions, fillings, sealants, dentures and other services. The clinic accepts all patients, including those who are uninsured. All insurances, as well as Medicare and KanCare (formerly Medicaid and HealthWave) are also accepted.
