Just less than a foot of snow fell in Dodge City during what some claim was the biggest snowstorm in the Midwest in two years. The National Weather Service, Dodge City, reported 11 inches of snow Thursday afternoon with little expectation of more to come. A representative from the weather service said he anticipated a relatively quiet day today with temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. "Not a lot of melting," he said describing today's weather,"but at least it's not more snow." The next possible chance of snowfall for Dodge City is projected for Sunday night and into Monday.
