  • Western Plains Medical Complex is making plans for their 13th annual Women's Day Out event.
"We're making some changes and doing things a little differently than we have in the past," Deb Goodwin, a co-chair of the event, said.
One of the changes is that the event will now be held on April 20, instead of the usual February date.
"We thought that pushing the date back would be a better time," Goodwin said. "And looking outside right now at all this snow, I know it was the right decision."
This year's theme will be "Do Good; Feel Better".
"It's all about paying it forward," Goodwin said. "About doing nice things for others and the good feeling that will give you. Of course, we think Dodge City is already really good about helping those in need, but it's always nice to remind them."
Speakers and guests at the event will speak on this theme throughout the afternoon.
More information will be provided as it becomes available as the hospital confirms and finalizes their plans. Individuals interested in attending the event will be able to call and make their reservations soon. Because the location of the event has been moved to the Cathedral, seating is limited to the first 200 participants. Lunch will be provided and the event should last for most of the afternoon.
