  • More than 5,000 people conquered drifting snow and a soupy parking lot to visit the AMBUCS Home and Leisure Show and KBUF RV Show this weekend. David Grayson, chairman of the show, said vendors and visitors alike were pleased with the weekend's events.
"It was a great show, even though the weather was against us," Grayson said.
In previous years, the show has been held at Village Square Mall. Grayson said he was extremely pleased with the new location and the additional space the Western State Bank Expo center offered vendors.
"They all did really well compared to what they expected," he said referring to the vendors.
The weather did cause a few problems Grayson said he hopes don't happen again — one of the two entrances to the building was blocked off due to ice accumulation and the muddy parking lot was a challenge for visitors.
"We'll definitely be back at the Expo Center," he said. "There won't be too many changes, except for, hopefully, the weather." Follow Abigail on Twitter, @Abigail_dcglobe.
