  • Audrey Louise Lonnberg, 88, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore. She was born February 25, 1924 in Jetmore, the daughter of Jack and Margery Sinclair Neeley. She was a lifetime area resident, graduating from Hodgeman County Community High School in 1943 and from St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She worked as a nurse for the next 43 years, during which time she served as Director of Nursing, a Traveling State Health Nurse and at the Hodgeman County Health Center for 37 years. She worked the last 6 years before retiring in the Ness County Hospital. She belonged to the United Methodist Church, US Cadet Nurse Corps, Eastern Star, Kansas Nursing Association and the VFW Auxiliary. On July 8, 1946, she married Kenneth L. Lonnberg in Syracuse. He died August 5, 2003. Survivors include a son, Kurt Lonnberg and wife Lyla, Jetmore; two daughters, Marcie Bradford and husband Dennis, Jetmore, Kris Scothorn and husband Dallas, Burlington; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Joye Neeley She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Clair and John Howard Neeley; and a sister-in-law, Joann Neeley. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, with pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8p.m. Sunday and 9a.m. to 8p.m. Monday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore. Memorials may be sent to the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore, Hodgeman County E.M.S. or the Hodgeman County Fire Department, Jetmore in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, Ks 67854.
