Earlier this week we asked our Facebook fans to answer the following question; "Know any snow Samaritans? Someone who shoveled your walk, pushed/pulled you out, dropped you off, picked you up, made the day a little easier? Comment and share to let these cold warriors know how much you appreciate their efforts."
Here are the responses we've received.
Melissa Province: "Andy Soriano and Trey Aaron Roetzer along with Missy Airehart's boys Jeremy and Connelly shoveled snow at the Alley while George Stapleton and Rod Allen cleared my parking lot with a bobcat!! Thank God for them!!!"
Wendy Barnett: "Our neighbor, Todd Everhart, owns a skid steer and anytime it snows a lot, he clears off EVERY driveway in our neighborhood and will take nothing in return! Just proves that there are still nice, wonderful people in this world!"
Sonya Hughes: "Todd Everhart comes to our rescue along with many, many neighbors! A real life-savor."
David Bender: "I was stuck in a spot in front of the 2nd Avenue Art Guild and the guys contracted to clear the Bank of America lot took a moment to push me out. I am very appreciative of their help."
Jennifer Mettlen Nolan: "Don Winfrey is our neighbor to the south, he uses his snowblower to plow a path across our adjoining yards for the mailman, who has to be out in the weather all day!"
Abigail Wilson: "Don Steele gave me and two of our other coworkers a ride to work Thursday during the blizzard. Without him we wouldn't have been able to make it to work to put together a newspaper. He even bought pastries in case we were snowbound in the office!"
