Easter weekend is just around the corner and a few events are scheduled in Dodge City. Ladies Community Outreach to host Easter egg hunt Ladies Community Outreach (LCO) will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29. The event will take place at a new location this year - the soccer field complex at St. Mary's just east of the Dodge City Family YMCA. Children through 4th grade are invited to attend. The field will be divided by age to give younger participants an equal chance to find and pick up some of the brightly colored, candy filled, plastic eggs. According to a release from the organization, LCO members have packed more than 5000 eggs for the hunt. Two bicycles will be given away this year. The Easter Bunny will also be at the egg hunt for pictures! Ladies Community Outreach is a volunteer organization of young women that has been actively volunteering in the community for the past 19 years. The annual Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Victory Electric Co-op Association, Black Hills Energy and United Wireless. 7th Annual Looney Tunes Easter egg hunt this weekend The Looney Tunes Easter egg hunt is back for its 7th year! Sponsored by the Credit Union of Dodge City, the hunt will take place at "high noon" at the Credit Union's north location at 1200 Frontview in Dodge City. Looney Tunes members are invited to attend. Children who would like to participate and become a Looney Tunes member will need their accompanying parent or guardian to bring their Social Security Card and a Government Issued I.D. plus $5 to open an account. The hunt is open for children ages 0-12. For more Easter weekend events, check future issues of the Globe.
