  • For 67 years Victory Electric has hosted their annual meeting with the purpose of keeping their members informed by providing an overview of company finances, board of trustee elections, and dinner for guests.

  • For 67 years Victory Electric has hosted their annual meeting with the purpose of keeping their members informed by providing an overview of company finances, board of trustee elections, and dinner for guests.
    This evening they are to host their 68th annual meeting at a new location, The Western State Bank Expo Center.
    "We are excited to conduct this year's meeting at the Expo Center," said Jerri Imgarten, communications specialist. "The new location will provide more space and more parking."
    Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with a gift for the first 600 residential members, followed by a steak dinner, before tieing up the evening with the business portion of the meeting at 7 p.m.
    This year's candidates for board of trustees are: Gary Gillespie of Copeland (Incumbent), Brad Ochs of Jetmore, James (Jim) Ochs of Jetmore, Richard Lightner of Garden City (Incumbent), Pat Morse of Dodge City (Incumbent), Susie Faulds of Dodge City, and Scott Gurtner of Dodge City.  
    According to Imgarten, about 850 members were in attendance last year and this year a similar turnout is expected.
    Schedule of events:
    5:30 p.m.: Registration begins. A registration gift will be given to the first 600 residental members who register for the meeting.
    6 p.m.: Dinner served. Steak, baked potato, grean beans, roll and dessert.
    7 p.m.: Business meeting, adjourn meeting.
